A Northwestern United States''' is comprised of the Pacific Northwest and the american Great Plains and generally includes, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Rather a Southwestern United States, a idea of what comprised the Northwest was pushed farther west above period. A original Northwest comprised a Northwest Territory and gradually pushed through a Midwest to its current definition.
